An officer pulled over a car for a non-working third brake light early Tuesday morning near 7th and Missouri Avenue which is just a few blocks away from the middle school. A police dispatcher advised the officer that the driver had a suspended driver’s license. Court documents indicate that when the officer told the man he was going to be arrested the suspect ran to a nearby home, threw a gun out of his pocket, and tried to hide. The officer found the driver and took him in to custody. Authorities found medical marijuana and also some methamphetamine in the car. The officer was also notified that the suspect had previous felony convictions out of Oklahoma County. 35-year old Tyreece Elix of Oklahoma City is now facing charges of drug distribution near a school, possession of firearm after conviction, and misdemeanor escape after arrest. The website OK Energy Today reported the information citing a report from E and E News. The proposal calls for AEP to acquire the wind farms known as the North Central Energy Facilities. Settlement agreements are pending in Oklahoma and Arkansas while proceedings are continuing in Texas and Louisiana.
